During the last ten years from 1992 till now, in Republic of Moldova at main functions of legislatives and executive subdivisions, who where meant to solve the complicated problems of Transnistria, were some people who, by our opinion, had one single concern - to hinder their solving.
From 1992,during several years ,in the government run by Sangheli, the responsible for the problems of transnistrian refugees and for all the problems connected to this region ,which was torn by separatists from Moldova's body ,was vice premier Valentin Cunev , for whom Romanian language was a foreign one. Thus Mr.Cunev carried out all the negotiations with separatists from Tiraspol and signed all the necessary documents, so, it depended on his attitude whether the war consequences from this region were to be settle (or unsettle), and solving the problems which the citizens form there confronted with. Also the solving of the problems of refugees and of those who protected the integrity of the republic during the war from 1992, was on responsibility of Mr. Cunev and of governmental commission for transnistrian problems which he leaded. So the destiny of thousand citizens who fought against smirnov separatists and who were made to refugee on the right part of the Nistru, was also in Mr, Cunev's hands. May be here is the answer why neither today are solved the problems of the fighters, refugees and those wounded in this war, of widows and parents of those who died.
The ex prime minister, Andrei Sangheli, had under his view the problems of Transnistria. But we shouldn't think that the premier worried about our co citizens who where oppressed and mutilated by the cazacs, guardists and other evil creatures. He wasn't worried even about the fact that dozens of thousand students of Moldavian schools from there didn't have possibility to learn their own language. The only thing he worried about, being burdened with big state debts, was not to forget about Mr. Igor Smirnov's birthday, the transnistrian executor, and to bring a big bucket of roses (at the level of a prime minister), doing it during several years.
But let us see, may be these commissions of the legislative body (those with human and education rights) dared to fight against transnistrian impostors. It's interesting who was in charge of those commissions.
Vladimir Solonari was the chairman of the commission of human rights during two mandates. It is the same who, during 1988-91 years, leaded an acrimonious struggle against the national movement from Moldova. He was the leader of the antinational movement, gathering around him all the ant Romanian forces with a pro Russian xenophobic spirit. Running this movement, Solonari obtained his first mandate in the Parliament of Republic of Moldova, in order to promote here the xenophobe interest of pro Russians. So, in conclusion, we can say that Mr.Solonari didn't care at all about the problems of Romanian language speaking people from Transnistria, he even enjoyed it.
But may be the present Commission of human rights involved itself in solving the problems connected with obvious violation of human rights from Transnistria, especially of national school students? Not a chance! To the leadership of this parliamentary Commission was appointed Mr.Mihail Sidorov, a stranger to the tutelary population of R.M., and more than that to the Moldavian-Romanians from Transnistria. Two years have passed, and this Commission didn't initiate the discussion, not even at one single meeting, about the situation of the human rights from the transnistrian part of RM. But Mr.Sidorov insisted many times for other interests: "I think that the allotment of official language to the Russian language is a problem which persists more than ten years." During the two years of his leadership of the Commission for human rights, he promoted in the Parliament the law connected to national minorities, in which Russian language has already an official statute. Therefore, Mr.Sidorov, being so burdened with worries about Russian speaking people, doesn't have enough time for so called "minor details", like rights of transnistrian people.
In the situation when, during ten years, students of Moldavian schools from Transnistria are lacked of their own language, the first who should have been worried about this was expected to be the parliamentary Commission of R.M. for education problems. But it didn't happened, because many years the leader of this Commission was the socialist philologist Valeriu Senic, who, together with the hysterical (oops, historic) Piotr Sornicov, formed the parliamentary party "Unitate-Edinstvo", which was meant to fight against all that was national in this country. Today Mr. Senic wants to continue the transnistrian separatism, as an ant Romanian who belongs to Cooperative University of Tiraspol, where is produced the separatists transtrinstrian staff.
One detail is important. A part of the people named before - Solonari, Senic, Sornicov, also Stati, during all their mandates of deputies of Parliament of R.M. together with the "ultrapatriots" extremists deputies of the Russian State Duma, praised to skies Smirnov and other like him, and participated at so called annual anniversary of the R.M.N.
We couldn't not to notice the "substantial contribution" of our ex president Petru Lucinschi to the solving of transnistrian problem. As a "monument" of his for solving this problem, remained his signing of the sad fame memorandum from May 8, 1997, which constituted nothing else but the recognition of "king" Smirnov as a landlord on this piece of land. Mr. P. Lucinschi, may be because of absence of political experience (which is less probable for an ex ambassador of R.M. in Russian Federation and for an ex member of political bureau of p.c.u.s.), or may be because Russian interests (which is closer to reality), as a matter of fact betrayed the interests of R.M. in benefit of Russia and of Smirnov.
About Russia attitude about the officials of R.M. for transnistrian problem the Russian media wrote not just once. The famous politician from Russia declared pretty sincerely in interview for the newspaper "Komsomolscaia pravda". Translation from Russian: "President Voronin didn't have the Russian support in the solving of the transnistrian problem. He didn't expect at all this for our part. In Russia the support of transnistrian independence is not so strong but, although exists. The Russian authorities do not support those from Moldavia, concerning this question. Though the Russian's position in Transnisrtia is real strong. This region is totally connected with our energetic and trade systems. We have enough influence on transnistrian leaders, in order to make them negotiate with us. But nothing is done yet..."
We think that it just couldn't be said more clearly! A thing is uncertain - politologists speak those things about which politicians and diplomats are obliged to say nothing. This is the truth!
During last ten years other people, who held important positions concerning transtrinstrian problem and of people refugee from there after the war from 1992, didn't care to about it, In the Chisinau city hall, the responsible for transnistrian refugees, during a long period of time, was the vice mayor Eduard Smirnov (and here was a Smirnov to, not only in Transnistria). He was included in the Commission for protection of families who came here from East of the country, Commission that was created by the order NR.142-d from May 12, 1997 of Ion Ciubuc government. Also in this Commission was included one more vice premier - Svetlana Mislitskaia. As a vice premier of foreign affairs, who was responsible for transnistrian problems, Mr. Vasile Sova, who didn't even know the national language (not to say Romanian), was expected to make from it an international one. Now he is a state minister for problem of Transnistria. The leader of the present Commission is the vice speaker Vadim Misin... and so on.
I want to be understood correctly. We don't want to deny the professionalism of the named above people. But for transnistrian problem, by our opinion, is not necessary just the high professionalism level, but also a spiritual-linguistic qualification. When a poor transnistrian refugee speaks to someone, being enforced to leave his home because of the language or politic problems which he confronted there, and being in danger because of those separatists, he deserve, at least here in Moldavia, to be listened in his language and not in a foreign one. In any case, this is what I think, me who more than ten years spend there in the epicenter of pain problems, which confront our co citizens from the left part of the Nistru.
